It’s best to match the height of the end table as either equal
to, or slightly shorter than the sofa. If the end table towers over the sofa, it creates an unbalanced atmosphere for the room and is awkwardly
inconvenient to the guest. The style of the sofa you have should complement the
end table as well. If you have a cushiony leather couch,
then a chic end table will complement the modern décor. If you have a more traditional loveseat in your room, then a nice rustic end table would
satisfy the job.
If your end table is taller than the sofa, you’ll be sure to
have a disgruntled crowd who’s had their funny bones assaulted all night! The height may seem like a minimal variable but poor measurements can
only yield poor results! Be sure to know the height that you need for your end table before purchasing it so that you don’t disrupt the fluidity
of the room, or torture the humerus! Whichever style you choose, the end table
is the perfect finish to any room’s décor.
