I bought this table because of the drawer and the shelf. I have baskets on the bottom to hold the kids gloves and hats. I thought though that it would be alot more antiqued looking; it has maybe 2 or 3 slight rub offs. I was wanting more. In that case it could be used in more of a modern decor too. The black shows fingerprints easily. Free shipping was great and there was so much to choose from, overall I am very happy.
